Y Intense

Y takes its name from the house's own logo — the interlocking YSL monogram Yves Saint Laurent designed himself — and builds its whole idea around the brand's signature look: a white t-shirt under a sharp black jacket, effortless and a little defiant at once. Perfumer Dominique Ropion described it as "a play on light and shadow," which shows up almost literally in the structure — bergamot and green apple  bright at the start, juniper and ginger up top, lavender and geranium in the heart. pulling it dark by the finish. YSL has leaned into the letter itself as a kind of philosophy: Y for "yes," for the decision to say yes to ambition rather than wait for permission.
