These are US-dollar item prices for one 5ml decant of the same named Louis Vuitton fragrance. We compared the selected 5ml variant, rather than the smaller sample price often shown first on a product page. Base Note and MicroPerfumes explicitly label their products Eau de Parfum; Aromatick describes Eau de Parfum markings on its source bottles. Fragmentum and ScentPocket name Imagination without repeating its concentration on the captured listing.

Coupons can narrow the gap
ScentPocket advertised SUMMER10 for 10% off decants. If applicable to this order, its $34 price becomes $30.60, leaving a $10.60 item-price difference versus Base Note. MicroPerfumes advertised FLASH for 25% off samples and sprays. Applied to $49.99, that would be $37.49, a $17.49 difference. We observed these offers on the retailers’ websites but did not test their eligibility at checkout; terms and availability can change.
We also found Scent Focus’s 5ml Imagination EDP listed at $20.95, just $0.95 above Base Note. Its 5ml variant was unavailable in its live product data during our check, so we excluded it from the available-products table. That closer price is a useful reminder: this is a dated comparison of selected retailers, not a claim that Base Note is always the cheapest everywhere.
Compare the final order total, too
A lower item price is only part of the buying decision. MicroPerfumes listed $5.99 standard US shipping, free over $69. Fragmentum’s policy listed $6 US shipping below $59, while its product offer included free engraving. ScentPocket calculates shipping at checkout and advertised free US shipping on orders of $60 or more.
Aromatick’s product page listed $3.99 shipping below $59, but its shipping policy said continental-US shipping was free without a minimum. Because those statements conflicted, we have not assumed a delivered total. Compare shipping and tax at checkout, including for Base Note; we have not calculated a delivered-total ranking.
What is inside a Base Note Imagination vial?
It is Louis Vuitton Imagination Eau de Parfum, transferred from the original fragrance bottle into a Base Note 5ml glass spray atomizer. Jeff personally decants Base Note’s fragrances. You receive the smaller Base Note atomizer; the Louis Vuitton retail bottle and its packaging are not included.
Our product page identifies the original fragrance, its Eau de Parfum concentration and the glass spray container. Those details make it easier to know what you are ordering. A decant lets you carry and use a smaller portion of the fragrance, while retaining the convenience of a spray atomizer.
Careful decanting is also not exclusive to Base Note. MicroPerfumes describes temperature-controlled preparation, and Fragmentum describes hand-filling new glass atomizers. Our case for this offer is straightforward: the named fragrance in a useful 5ml size, at a lower listed item price than the available comparisons above. Retailer claims are not independent laboratory tests, and this comparison does not establish identical batches or atomizer performance.
Why try Imagination before buying the bottle?
Louis Vuitton’s official description centers on Ambrox, Chinese black tea and citrus; its selected 100ml bottle was $360 when checked. A $20 decant reduces the amount you spend upfront to explore that fragrance. The retail bottle contains much more liquid, so the lower upfront spend should not be confused with a lower price per ml.
Wear your sample on several ordinary days. Notice whether you enjoy the opening, how it develops later and whether you still want to wear it again. Is this an official Louis Vuitton sample?
No. It is an independently prepared Base Note decant of the named fragrance. The smaller bottle is Base Note’s packaging. If official Louis Vuitton packaging, the retail bottle or the brand’s refill service matters most to you, consider the brand’s own retail offering. If your immediate goal is to try Imagination on your skin with less upfront spending, a 5ml decant serves that purpose.
