Jacques Cavallier Belletrud launched Imagination in 2021 as Louis Vuitton’s take on modern amber: not heavy oriental amber, but a big, clean dose of ambroxan set against citrus and Chinese black tea extracted with CO2. The house copy talks about travel, creativity, and “the spirit rising.” What you actually get is simpler and more useful: a sharp citron–bergamot–orange opening, a ginger-and-cinnamon lift that never turns bakery-sweet, then a dry-down of black tea, incense, guaiac, and ambroxan that reads expensive, soapy-clean, and unusually long for something this bright. Marketed as masculine; worn widely as unisex. The tea is the part that keeps it from being just another luxury citrus.
Key notes
Citron, Calabrian Bergamot, Sicilian Orange
Tunisian Neroli, Nigerian Ginger, Ceylon Cinnamon
Chinese Black Tea, Ambroxan, Guaiac Wood, Olibanum
