Nomad

NoMad — the neighborhood just north of Madison Square Park — has had a strange life: Gilded Age grandeur, decades of decline, and then a fairly recent reinvention into one of Manhattan's more fashionable corners again. Rahmé built the fragrance to hold that whole arc at once, "the past and present," rather than picking a single era to represent. The name does double duty too, nodding to the neighborhood and to nomadic wandering, which shows up in the heart of the scent: a deliberately "Americanized" take on oud, richer and sweeter than the traditional Middle Eastern material, built by perfumer Miroslav Petkov to feel modern rather than reverent.
