Green Irish Tweed

Pierre Bourdon built this one in 1985 with a very specific man in mind: Cary Grant. Olivier Creed wanted to bottle his own idea of Ireland — cut grass, spring meadows, wildflowers, a sea breeze rolling over an old country estate — the kind of understated elegance the house had built its name on tailoring equestrian coats for. Grant died the following year, and Creed's marketing leaned hard into the association afterward, along with a run of other long-gone celebrities, in a way that did more for the brand's mystique than any ad campaign could have on its own. Forty years later, it's still the reference point most "clean" masculine fragrances get compared to.
