Stefano Gabbana had one instruction when The One launched in 2008: make something that wouldn't feel dated in ten years, in a category that usually chases whatever's trending. It's the least experimental brief a perfumer can get, and also the hardest to pull off. The campaign that followed — years of Matthew McConaughey, all Southern charm and unhurried confidence — became almost inseparable from the scent itself, to the point most people picture him before they can name a single note. That restraint was the whole point: nothing loud enough to feel like a phase.

Dolce & Gabbana The One Parfum. That’s the one I have. I tried the EDP too and it’s no slouch. The Parfum just lasts longer and feels a little richer.
Smells warm and smooth. Tobacco, a little vanilla, kind of like a nice leather jacket and something sweet in the background. If you work in an office full of people and you want to smell like the CEO, this is the one.
Lasts a long time. I don’t have to keep spraying it. 9/10. Worth every penny.
