Giorgio Armani built this one out of his own life — the fragrance is meant as a tribute to his relationship with Sergio Galeotti, his early business and life partner, framed as what the brand calls "an olfactive embodiment of authentic modern-day love." Perfumer Cécile Matton was aiming for calm strength rather than aggression, something magnetic without needing to raise its voice. It opens on an unusual pairing of pepper and violet leaf, then warms through toffee and cinnamon into vanilla and suede — cozier and more intimate than most of what sits next to it on a men's fragrance shelf.
