Born in Roma is built around the idea of "Aristo-Punks" — Pierpaolo Piccioli's term for people who treat the ordinary as extraordinary, who wear their roots with a little defiance rather than polish. "You don't have to be born in Roma to feel like a Roman," as he's put it. The bottle carries that same tension: a pyramidal, rock-studded design borrowed from the house's signature Rockstud shoe, which itself references bugnato, the diamond-cut stonework on old Roman palazzos — black leather and bright pink together, since at Valentino pink is meant to read as punk as much as romantic. The scent matches that duality: jasmine (three different qualities of it) for the sensual, classical side, cashmeran and bourbon vanilla for something warmer and more modern underneath.
