Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm built Libre in 2019 as YSL’s answer to a woman who doesn’t wait for permission. The house took lavender—long treated as a masculine note—and twisted it against Moroccan orange blossom so the whole thing feels sharp, modern, and deliberately androgynous. Dua Lipa fronts the campaign, but the idea is older: the Le Smoking suit, the woman who walks into the room on her own terms.
