Part of Xerjoff's Oud Stars line, Alexandria II is named for the city Alexander the Great built to outshine Rome itself — a port meant to sit at the crossroads of Africa, India, and the Mediterranean, thick with incense trade and imperial ambition. The fragrance leans into that image rather than any specific street or ruin: spice and rosewood up front, rose and cedar through the middle, then a heavy, resinous base of oud, sandalwood, and amber that's built to feel less like perfume and more like ceremony. It's Xerjoff at its most maximalist — gold cap, dense bottle, a scent that doesn't try to be subtle about the empire it's named after.
