Every Bond No. 9 fragrance is a love letter to a specific patch of Manhattan, and this one is named for the street where the house actually keeps one of its boutiques, at number 399. Bleecker Street launched in 2005 right as that stretch near Abingdon Square was turning into a designer-boutique corridor — old Federalist storefronts suddenly full of runway labels — and the fragrance was built to match that exact moment: tradition and newness sitting in the same three blocks. It opens fruity and green, then settles into suede and caramel, a scent that's meant to feel current the way the street itself did the year it launched.
